Amman, July 15 (Petra)– The Social Security Corporation (SSC) has
announced the launch of a recurring public outreach service, “You Ask
and SSC Answers from the Field,” starting Thursday evening to improve
direct communication with citizens.
The service will run weekly on Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., the
corporation said in a statement on Wednesday. The initiative aims to
raise public awareness about social security laws and simplify access
to information directly within local communities.
Mobile awareness stations staffed by SSC specialists will be deployed
to assist citizens and answer queries regarding retirement pension
eligibility, benefit calculations, and various social security
provisions. These include maternity, unemployment, and work injury
insurance.
Staff will also assist the public with the corporation’s digital
services, installment programs for retirees, and immediate medical
treatment services for work-related accidents.
The initiative will debut on Thursday in downtown Amman at two
primary locations: the Hashemite Plaza, next to the Roman Theater,
and King Faisal Street, adjacent to the Arab Bank.
The corporation said future locations for the outreach program will
be announced weekly through media outlets and its official social
media platforms. The SSC will also accept and answer public inquiries
online during the field events to broaden social protection coverage
across Jordan.
