Aqaba Promotes Investment Opportunities to Russian Investors

Aqaba, July 16 (Petra) — The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority
(ASEZA) and Jordan’s Honorary Consulate in Russia’s Yekaterinburg
explored ways to strengthen economic and investment cooperation and
promote Aqaba’s investment opportunities to attract more Russian
investment.

The discussions took place during a meeting between the ASEZA
Commissioner for Economic Affairs and Investment, Mohammad Abu Omar,
and Jordan’s Honorary Consul in Yekaterinburg, Alexander Toropov.

Abu Omar said the ASEZA offers an attractive investment environment
supported by competitive incentives, flexible legislation, advanced
infrastructure, and Aqaba’s strategic location, which strengthens its
role as a regional hub for trade, logistics, and investment.

He highlighted investment opportunities across the tourism,
logistics, industrial, energy and services sectors, saying Aqaba
offers competitive advantages and promising prospects for strategic
partnerships, particularly with Russian investors.

Toropov reaffirmed the honorary consulate’s commitment to
strengthening economic cooperation between Jordan and Russia and
supporting efforts to promote Russian investment in Aqaba to help
build mutually beneficial economic partnerships.
