Army shoots down Three Iranian Missiles Targeting Kingdom

Amman, July 17 (Petra)– The air defense systems intercepted and shot
down three Iranian missiles that entered the Kingdom’s airspace on
Friday morning and were targeting Jordanian territory, a military
source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army
said.

The source said the missiles were intercepted in accordance with
established defensive measures and operational procedures to
safeguard Jordan’s sovereignty, secure its airspace, and ensure the
safety and security of its citizens.

The source confirmed that the interception operation resulted in no
casualties or material damage. Royal Engineering Corps teams were
immediately deployed to the sites where missile debris landed,
securing the areas and handling the remnants in line with approved
technical and security procedures.

The source added that the Jordan Armed Forces remain on high alert,
continuously monitoring the Kingdom’s airspace and closely following
regional developments to respond to any potential threat in
accordance with the approved rules of engagement.

The source also urged the public to rely on official sources for news
and information and to refrain from spreading rumors or sharing
