TSC President Visits Secondary School Examination Control Center, Praises Teachers’ Efforts

KHARTOUM, July 22, 2026 (SUNA) – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, visited the Secondary School Examination Control Center on Wednesday as part of the government’s efforts to monitor the progress of the national secondary school examinations and support the education sector. During the visit, Al-Burhan received a briefing from Minister of National Education Dr. Al-Tohami Al-Zain Hajar on the progress of marking, grading, and processing the secondary school examinations, as well as the work completed by the specialized committees. Meeting with teachers participating in the marking and grading process, Al-Burhan praised their dedication and commitment to their national mission despite the exceptional circumstances facing the country. He stressed that teachers are the cornerstone of building Sudan’s future, commending their sacrifices across the country in ensuring the successful completion of this national undertaking and their contribution to the Battle of Dignity. Al-Burhan reaffirmed the government’s commitment to working with the Ministry of National Education to provide a conducive working environment for education personnel, enabling them to carry out their duties effectively and advancing the education sector to secure a better future for students. He also announced plans to rehabilitate the ministry’s old printing press and establish a new dedicated examinations printing press to strengthen the ministry’s examination infrastructure and enhance its capacity to manage and secure national examinations efficiently.BH/BH
