Amman, July 28 (Petra) – The Jordan Post has moved a step closer to
completing its transition toward greener and more efficient postal
operations as a delegation from the Universal Postal Union (UPU)
began an official assessment of the company’s electric vehicle
modernization project.

Chairman of Jordan Post Sami Al-Dawood welcomed UPU Quality of
Service Fund expert Gaurav Mehta, who is leading the final evaluation
of the initiative. The meeting was attended by Jordan Post’s National
Quality of Service Fund Coordinator, Omar Tbeishat, and Director of
the International Cooperation Unit, Suhair Wreikat.

The fleet modernization project, financed entirely through the UPU’s
Quality of Service Fund, has introduced 13 electric vehicles into
Jordan Post’s delivery network. The investment is aimed at
strengthening last-mile delivery, improving operational performance,
and enhancing the quality and reliability of postal services across
the Kingdom.

Beyond improving logistics, the initiative reflects Jordan Post’s
broader commitment to environmental sustainability by lowering carbon
emissions and supporting the adoption of cleaner transportation
solutions within the postal sector.
