Change Leaders Initiative Launched to Develop Capabilities of National Leaders,
Talent

Muscat,
27 Sep 2026 (ONA) — The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment
Promotion today signed a cooperation programme under the Industrial Change
Leaders Initiative. The initiative aims to develop the capabilities of national
leaders and talent and enhance their skills in strategic analysis,
policy-making, performance governance and change leadership, in line with the
targets of the Oman Vision 2040.

The
initiative targets a number of leaders and administrative and technical
personnel at the Ministry and entities related to the industrial sector,
through an applied programme comprising five in-person training days spread
over one month, combining work-based learning, coaching, field analysis and a
policy lab, in a manner that contributes to transforming knowledge into
practical applications and data-driven solutions.

The
programme includes key themes encompassing administrative diagnosis,
organisational restructuring, change engineering, performance governance, the
building of smart performance indicators, the design of leadership dashboards,
and policy-making, culminating in the delivery of executive projects and solutions
for real-world challenges.

The
initiative comes within the framework of the Ministry’s drive towards building
national leadership capabilities capable of driving change, transforming data
and analysis into policies and practical solutions, and raising the efficiency
of institutional performance, in support of developing the industrial sector
and enhancing its capacity to achieve the targets of the Oman Vision 2040.
