China’s Silk Road Troupe and Jordanian artists captivate audience at Jerash Festival

Jerash, July 29 (Petra) — The Hippodrome stage hosted a Chinese
cultural and heritage performance by the Chinese Silk Road Troupe as
part of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts.

Through rich folkloric compositions relying on the rhythmic harmony
of Eastern instruments, the troupe showcased aspects of human
heritage from China during an evening attended by a large crowd and
drawing notable interest from festival visitors.

Across 15 musical pieces, the Chinese troupe demonstrated the
exceptional skill and harmony of its members. Opening with “The
Elephant King’s Procession,” the troupe transitioned into vibrant
compositions, including “Atmosphere of the East,” “Laughter Across
Oceans,” “Dream of the Dagger,” “Bright Spring,” and “A Beautiful
Legend.”

The melodies flowed through “To the Tune of the Plum Blossom,”
“Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon,” “Dream Catcher,” and “Early
Spring in Lishan,” alongside “Echoes of Nostalgia” and “Harmony of
the Nine Provinces,” before concluding with “Happiness Complete with
the Meeting of Loved Ones.”

On the local front, the Hippodrome stage erupted with enthusiasm as
Jordanian artists took the stage, delivering a musical blend of
national songs and traditional folk chants that drew high engagement
from the audience.

The Jordanian performers presented authentic musical showcases
reflecting national identity and folk heritage, celebrating the
homeland, leadership, and soil, creating a night that combined the
charm of the Far East with traditional Jordanian melody.

The cultural diversity featured in the Jerash Festival program
reinforces its status as a global platform celebrating human arts and
embodying intercultural dialogue and exchange.
