Amman, July 31 (Petra)– Hot weather is expected to prevail across
most parts of the Kingdom on Friday, while extremely hot conditions
will continue in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, according
to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

The department said northwesterly to northeasterly moderate winds
will prevail, becoming active at times.

The JMD urged the public to avoid prolonged exposure to direct
sunlight during peak daytime hours, refrain from lighting fires in
forested and open areas, and never leave children or elderly people
inside closed vehicles.

Temperatures are forecast to rise slightly on Saturday, reaching
around 4–5 degrees Celsius above the seasonal average. Hot weather
will continue across most regions, with extremely hot conditions
expected in the Badia (desert areas), the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea
and Aqaba.

Moderate northwesterly to northeasterly winds are expected, with
occasional active gusts.

A slight drop in temperatures is forecast for Sunday, although hot
conditions will persist in most parts of the Kingdom, while the
Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba will remain
extremely hot. Moderate northwesterly to northeasterly winds will
become active at times.

Similar weather conditions are expected on Monday, with hot weather
across most regions and extremely hot conditions in the Badia, the
Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

Winds will remain moderate from the northwest to northeast,
occasionally becoming active.

Forecast temperatures for Friday range between 37C and 26C in East
Amman and 35C and 24C in West Amman. Highs and lows are expected to
reach 32C/21C in the northern highlands, 33C/17C in the Sharah
Highlands, 40C/24C in the Badia, 36C/22C in the plains, 43C/28C in
the northern Jordan Valley, 45C/30C in the southern Jordan Valley,
44C/29C at the Dead Sea, and 44C/30C in Aqaba.
