Amman, August 1 (Petra) – Minister of Justice Bassam Talhouni
affirmed the electronic notary services continue to achieve
“positive” results, registering “consistent” growth in the number of
completed transactions since their launch.

He stated this increase reflects citizens’ confidence in the digital
judicial services provided by the Ministry.

In a statement Saturday, Talhouni stated a total of 3,147 electronic
notary transactions were completed since the service’ launch on May
3rd until yesterday July 31.

Out of this total figure, he announced 2,566 transactions were legal
notices, while 581 services were completed via video conferencing.

This effort, he noted, is all part of an electronic system that
allows for “efficient and rapid” transaction completion, often
without the need to visit the courts.

He added that Jordanian citizens residing in 35 countries around the
world have benefited from these services, reflecting the ministry’s
“success” in delivering its judicial services to Jordanians
worldwide, and providing digital solutions to complete their
transactions with “ease and reliability.”

Ranking the 1st destination in total figures abroad, he said 94
transactions were completed in the United States, while the United
Arab Emirates followed with with 60, confirming the “growing”
interest among members of the Jordanian diaspora in utilizing the
electronic notary public services.

He said these services have contributed to sparing citizens time and
effort, cutting fees for several transactions by 25-40% when using
the electronic notary public services.

He added that the package also streamlined procedures and increased
service efficiency, in line with the government’s digital
transformation and development of government services.

On its future policy, he affirmed the ministry will continue to
monitor performance indicators, measure service recipient
satisfaction, and work on “continuously” developing the electronic
notary public services to ensure the provision of “modern, flexible,
fast, and reliable” legal services.

He encouraged citizens to utilize these services through the Ministry
of Justice’s e-services portal.
