Estate Traded Value in Oman Reaches RO 258.7 Million in June 2026

Muscat, 29 July 2026 (ONA) — The traded value of real estate in the Sultanate
of Oman rose by 5.4% by the end of June 2026 to reach RO 1.434 billion,
compared with RO 1.360 billion during the corresponding period in 2025,
according to statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and
Information (NCSI).

The statistics showed that the traded value of sales contracts increased by
12.2% to reach RO 688 million, while the number of sales contracts rose by 6.9%
to 34,017, compared with RO 613 million and 31,831 contracts during the
corresponding period in 2025.

In contrast, the traded value of mortgage contracts recorded a slight decline
of 0.3% to reach RO 740.2 million by the end of June 2026, compared with RO
742.2 million during the corresponding period in 2025. Meanwhile, the number of
mortgage contracts increased by 25.7% to 13,383, compared with 10,647
contracts.

The statistics also showed that the traded value of swap contracts rose by
20.3% to RO 5.8 million, compared with RO 4.8 million, while the number of swap
contracts declined by 39.3% to 362, compared with 596 contracts by the end of
June 2025.

In terms of real estate ownership, the number of title deeds issued decreased
by 8% to 101,700, compared with 110,551 during the corresponding period in
2025. The number of title deeds issued to citizens of GCC countries also
declined by 22.4% to 541, compared with 697 during the same period last year.
