Housing Bank Launches First Digital Waiting List Platform

Salalah,
27 July 2026 (ONA) — Oman Housing Bank today inaugurated its first-ever Digital
Waiting List Platform for housing finance during the opening of the Real Estate
Exhibition. The exhibition is held as part of the Khareef Salalah (monsoon)
2026 activities.

The
inauguration ceremony was held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Marwan Turki Al
Said, Governor of Dhofar.

The
launch marks a significant milestone in the Bank’s efforts to modernise housing
finance services by allowing citizens to begin their financing journey entirely
online without the need to visit a branch during the initial application
stages.

At
the inauguration, the Bank also announced the acceleration of the housing
finance waiting list, confirming that the Bank has now progressed to processing
applications submitted during April and May 2026.

A
total of 1,252 applications, with a combined financing value exceeding RO 63
million, are now being processed across the Bank’s branches, reflecting Oman
Housing Bank’s continued commitment to reducing waiting times and delivering
financing to eligible citizens more quickly.

The
Digital Waiting List enables citizens to create an account electronically,
complete their personal, employment and housing information, select their
financing preferences, upload all required documents digitally and receive
real-time updates throughout every stage of the application process until their
financing appointment is scheduled. Launched under the Bank’s “Reserve
Your Turn” campaign, the platform represents a major enhancement to
customer experience by eliminating unnecessary branch visits, increasing transparency
and making the housing finance journey faster, simpler and more convenient.

Commenting on the launch, Moosa Masoud Al
Jadidi, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Housing Bank, said the Digital Waiting
List is another milestone in the Bank’s comprehensive digital transformation
strategy, supporting the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 to deliver smarter,
more efficient public services.

Al
Jadidi noted that, “The Digital Waiting List is transforming the way
citizens access housing finance by redesigning the customer journey from the
very first step. Instead of multiple visits to our branches, applicants can now
begin the process digitally from wherever they are, saving valuable time and
making the experience significantly more efficient.”

He
added that the platform is not only simplifying procedures but is also playing
a direct role in accelerating waiting times, enabling the Bank to process
applications faster while supporting national housing objectives and improving
overall service delivery. “The progression of the waiting list to include
April and May applications demonstrates the Bank’s commitment to accelerating
access to housing finance. We will continue investing in innovative digital
solutions that improve customer experience, increase operational efficiency and
ensure citizens receive the services they need faster than ever before.”

The
launch forms part of Oman Housing Bank’s broader digital transformation
programme, through which the Bank continues to introduce innovative services
and smart digital channels that enhance accessibility, improve efficiency and
reinforce its role as Oman’s leading housing finance institution.
