Amman, August 5 (Petra) – The Electronic Health Solutions company,
through its Hakeem Academy Program, launched the second phase of the
11th annual Hakeem Academy Competition, bringing together 22 student
teams from 11 Jordanian universities to develop innovative digital
solutions for the healthcare sector.

According to a company statement issued Wednesday, the qualifying
projects were presented and evaluated by a specialized judging panel
at the Zain Innovation Center (ZINC) in King Hussein Business Park in
Amman.

More than 90 students are participating in the competition,
representing the University of Jordan, Applied Science Private
University, Amman Arab University, Yarmouk University, Hashemite
University, Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Petra
University, German Jordanian University, Middle East University and
Al al-Bayt University.

The projects demonstrate interdisciplinary collaboration between the
health and technology fields, with participating teams comprising
students from medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and engineering, alongside
students specializing in information technology, computer science,
data science, and artificial intelligence.

Between 10 and 12 teams will advance to the Hakeem Academy training
camp, where they will further develop their ideas through technical
and engineering mentorship before presenting their final projects at
the competition’s closing ceremony, scheduled for November.

Chief Executive Officer Omar Ibrahim Ayesh said the competition’s
continuation for an 11th consecutive year underscores the company’s
commitment to supporting young Jordanian talent while promoting
innovation and digital transformation in the healthcare sector.

He said the competition has evolved into a national platform for
identifying promising talent and transforming entrepreneurial ideas
into practical technological solutions that contribute to improving
healthcare services and preparing a new generation of innovators
capable of shaping the future of healthcare.

The current edition is organized in cooperation with the Zain
Innovation Center (ZINC) and in partnership with Union Bank and the
National Bank of Jordan as part of efforts to promote innovation,
entrepreneurship, and the development of advanced digital healthcare
solutions in the Kingdom.
