Foreign Minister, Yemeni Counterpart Discuss Ties

Amman, Aug. 6 (Petra) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign
and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi held a phone call Thursday with
Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Afrah Al-Zouba.

Duuring the conversation, the ministers discussed bilateral relations
and ways to strengthen cooperation in several areas of mutual
interest.

In a Foreign Ministry statement, the duo also reviewed regional
developments and efforts to end the escalation, restore calm, and
achieve security and stability.

Safadi briefed his counterpart on the outcomes of the ministerial
meeting in support of Jerusalem and its holy sites, hosted by Jordan
on Wednesday, and the steps outlined in its final statement to
confront illegal Israeli violations in Jerusalem and its holy sites.

Additionally, Safadi congratulated Al-Zouba on assuming her new
duties as Yemen’s foreign minister.

The ministers agreed to maintain coordination and consultation on
bilateral relations and regional and international issues of mutual
interest.
