Amman, August 6 (Petra) -Ministry of Social Development released on
Thursday its monthly achievement report for last July, showcasing
the “key” services and programs delivered for the target groups
nationwide.

According to the report, the ministry processed 8,064 health
insurance applications, 185 medical cost exemptions, 1,657 work
permit fee waivers, and 140 inheritance rights settlement cases.

In child welfare, 67 children entered residential care homes, 36
returned to their biological families, and nine were placed with
alternative foster families. The ministry also licensed 6 new
nurseries.

Family and juvenile welfare services assisted 210 women and children
through social service offices affiliated with the Family Protection
and Juvenile Department. Additionally, 232 juveniles received care at
ministry rehabilitation centers, as 54 participated in vocational
training.

The ministry also provided psychosocial support to 31 child laborers
and assisted 792 inmates through social service offices in
correctional facilities.

Addressing street solicitation, authorities conducted 520
anti-vagrgrancy campaigns across the Kingdom, arresting 228 beggers.

In the civil society sector, 14 new associations were registered
under the Societies Law, bringing the national total to 5,928. The
ministry processed 147 bylaws amendments, dissolved 69 societies, and
issued warnings to 15 others.

Meanwhile, the National Aid Fund (NAF) reported 41,304 families
received monthly financial assistance in July, while 185 families
benefited from vocational training programs. NAF also achieved a 100%
response rate to public inquiries.
