CWRC records 2,030 Israeli attacks in West Bank in August

Ramallah, Sept. 1 (Petra) -Palestinian Colonization and Wall
Resistance Commission (CWRC) recorded 2,030 attacks by Israeli
occupation forces and settlers against Palestinians, property, and
holy sites in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem during
August.

CWRC’s monthly report attributed 1,402 of the violations to the
Israeli military and 628 to Israeli settlers, describing the surge as
part of a “systematic policy targeting the Palestinian presence.”

Nablus recorded the highest number of incidents with 380 attacks,
followed by Ramallah and Al-Bireh with 353, Hebron with 275,
Bethlehem with 239, Jenin with 230, and Jerusalem with 194.

Separately, Israeli forces launched a series of raids across the West
Bank on Tuesday, arresting 22 Palestinians, including former
prisoners.

In its statement, Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) said Israeli
soldiers opened fire during the raids before detaining the
individuals for questioning.
