Amman, Sept. 3 (Petra) — Around 200 local, Arab and foreign
companies specializing in food manufacturing will begin participating
on Friday in the fourth edition of the International Food and Food
Tech Exhibition, held at the Amman International Motor Show on the
Airport Road.

The three-day exhibition, organized by Nabd International for
Exhibitions and Conferences, focuses on food security, technological
challenges and solutions in food manufacturing, production-line
automation, supply-chain sustainability and regional food security.

The exhibition brings together specialists in food and beverage
industries and food manufacturing technology from Jordan and abroad,
as well as official decision-makers and international organizations
concerned with the food industry. Companies from 25 Arab and foreign
countries, in addition to Jordan, are participating.

Exhibiting companies represent sectors including food and beverages,
dairy and meat products, frozen foods, food ingredients and additives
such as spices, flavors and nutrients, manufacturing equipment,
packaging, cold chains, technology solutions, food services and
hospitality. The exhibition will also feature developments and
innovations in food manufacturing, equipment, and packaging-related
technologies.

According to the organizer, the exhibition aims to highlight the
importance of food manufacturing and developments in the sector,
particularly following global crises, including the COVID-19
pandemic, which demonstrated the importance of expanding and
localizing food industries and making use of agricultural products
and crops available in Jordan.

Anoud Jarrar, General Manager of Nabd International, said the
exhibition provides an opportunity for Jordanian companies to meet
counterparts from participating countries and to connect Jordanian
agricultural producers and food industry workers with potential
importers in regional markets, particularly neighboring countries
such as Palestine, Syria and Iraq.

She said the fourth edition was organized following the outcomes of
previous editions and amid interest from food manufacturers in
keeping pace with developments and introducing food manufacturing
technology in line with quality requirements and international
specifications.

A conference on smart food manufacturing and food security will also
be held alongside the exhibition, bringing together academic
researchers, chief executives in the manufacturing sector,
decision-makers and technology innovators to link scientific research
with industrial applications.

The exhibition covers an area of 11,000 square meters and will be
open throughout its three-day run from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission
will be free for business owners.
