Israeli Shelling Damages Lebanon Finance Ministry Building in Nabatieh

Beirut, Sept. 6 (Petra) — The Lebanese Ministry of Finance said
Sunday that its building in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, was damaged
by Israeli shelling, with nearby government offices and dozens of
shops and cafes also sustaining damage.

In a statement, the ministry said Finance Minister Yassine Jaber
directed that necessary measures be taken to protect files and
documents and ensure continuity of operations.

The statement said the strike caused significant damage to the
regional finance and agricultural departments, both located in a
building adjacent to the targeted site. Offices were damaged, while
windows and doors were shattered and files and papers scattered
throughout the premises.

Dozens of shops and cafes surrounding the site of the strike were
also damaged, it added.
