Youth Minister reviews final preparations for 24th Asian Youth Karate Championship

Amman, Sept 6 (Petra) — Minister of Youth Raed Adwan, who chairs the
Higher Organizing Committee for the 24th Asian Cadet, Junior and U21
Karate Championships 2026, reviewed final operational preparations to
host delegations, athletes, and committees participating in the
upcoming tournament.

Adwan met at the ministry’s headquarters on Sunday with World Karate
Federation (WKF) President Antonio Espinós, Asian Karate Federation
(AKF) President Maj. Gen. Nasser Al-Rzouqi, Arab and West Asian
Karate Federations President Ibrahim Al-Qannas, and AKF Vice
President Rashid Al-Ali, in the presence of Jordan Karate Federation
President Hassan Masoud.

Adwan noted that hosting the championship under the patronage of HRH
Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic
Committee, demonstrates the AKF’s confidence in Jordan’s
organizational capabilities and highlights the Kingdom’s position as
a safe destination capable of hosting major continental and
international sports events.

Espinós and the accompanying delegation praised the advanced level of
preparations, emphasizing the tournament’s role in promoting sports
exchange and strengthening the global profile of karate.
