Ajloun, Sept. 10 (Petra) — Director of the Ajloun Culture
Directorate Samer Freihat met with Ibrahim Al-Assaf, head of the
General Secretariat of the Second Scientific Conference of Teachers’
Clubs, along with members of the General Secretariat and the judging
committee, to inspect cultural facilities and discuss technical and
logistical arrangements for hosting the conference.

The conference, organized by the Teachers’ Clubs Sector and hosted by
the Ajloun Teachers’ Club, will be held from Sept. 23 to 26, 2026.

The meeting was part of final preparations for the conference and
aimed to assess the readiness of the venues and halls that will host
its events and scientific sessions, ensuring a suitable environment
for researchers and participants and reflecting the importance of the
scientific and educational event.

During the tour, Al-Assaf, members of the General Secretariat, and
the judging committee inspected the halls, cultural facilities, and
available resources in Ajloun Governorate. They also discussed the
technical, organisational, and logistical requirements needed to hold
the conference sessions and events in a manner befitting the standing
of Teachers’ Clubs and their professional and national mission.

The judging committee has completed its work after more than a month
and a half of carefully reviewing and evaluating the research papers
submitted to the conference. The evaluation process resulted in the
selection of 44 male and female researchers from among Teachers’
Clubs members to participate in the conference and present their
research during its scientific sessions.

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education also issued a
letter congratulating the 44 researchers selected to participate in
the Second Scientific Conference of Teachers’ Clubs, wishing them
success in presenting their research and enriching the conference
sessions with their scientific and educational contributions.

Freihat said the Ajloun Governorate Culture Directorate was placing
all its resources, facilities and cultural centers at the disposal of
the conference organizers, reflecting its belief in the importance of
supporting teachers and advancing the Kingdom’s cultural, scientific,
and educational landscape.

Hosting the scientific event in Ajloun represents an important
opportunity to showcase the governorate’s cultural, historical, and
tourism assets, he said, stressing the directorate’s commitment to
providing all necessary support and facilities to ensure the success
of the conference and serve participants and researchers.

For his part, Ibrahim Al-Assaf, head of the General Secretariat of
the Second Scientific Conference of Teachers’ Clubs, commended the
extensive cooperation provided by the Ajloun Culture Directorate,
saying the selection of Ajloun Governorate to host the conference
reflected confidence in its cultural capabilities and its ability to
host scientific and national events.

Al-Assaf said the conference reflects Teachers’ Clubs’ commitment to
promoting scientific research, encouraging teachers to contribute to
knowledge production and exchange educational expertise and
experiences, contributing to the development of teaching practices,
and opening broader space for dialogue on issues affecting the future
of education in Jordan.

The conference will address a number of national, educational, and
scientific themes covering key issues in the education sector,
including national dialogue, blended learning, and the
professionalization of teaching, as well as other topics related to
educational and knowledge development.

The themes reflect the growing role of teachers’ clubs in supporting
Jordanian teachers and strengthening their scientific and
professional presence.

The Second Scientific Conference of Teachers’ Clubs forms part of the
clubs’ efforts to expand their cultural, scientific, and professional
activities and consolidate their role as a space bringing together
teachers, researchers, and those dedicated to the teaching profession
in an environment that promotes knowledge, innovation, and service to
Jordan’s educational development.
