Kuwait City, September 14 (QNA) – Kuwait’s stock market closed higher on Monday, with its main index rising 18.07 points, or 0.20%, to 8,962.24 points.
A total of 463.1 million shares changed hands across 32,516 cash transactions worth KWD 121.8 million ($397.5 million).
The Main Market Index gained 49.33 points, or 0.52%, to close at 9,476.63 points. Some 305.5 million shares were traded in 22,562 deals, with a value of KWD 68.1 million ($222.2 million).
The Premier Market Index added 12.34 points to 9,317.90 points through 157.5 million shares changing hands in 9,954 transactions worth KWD 53.6 million.
The Main 50 Index recorded the strongest gain of the day, rising 100.77 points, or 0.90%, to close at 11,348.25 points. Trading reached 220.1 million shares through 13,788 transactions valued at KWD 44.1 million ($143.9 million). (QNA)
