Amman, Sept. 16 (Petra) — The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has
opened media accreditation applications for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi
Arabia 2027, scheduled to take place from January 7 to February 5,
featuring 24 national teams.
The AFC invited media organizations wishing to cover the tournament
including journalists, photographers, and non-rights-holding
broadcasters to apply through the new AFC Media Channel:
https://www.afcas.org/login/media-registration. The deadline for
submitting applications is Monday, November 30, 2026.
Upon approval, accredited media personnel will receive an email
outlining further steps, including registering via the “Ahlan” portal
to process their participation credentials, entry visas, and
photography permits. Foreign media representatives must enter Saudi
Arabia using the approved media visa issued through the “Ahlan”
system.
The tournament marks the Jordan national football team’s (Al-Nashama)
sixth appearance in the finals. Jordan was drawn in Group B alongside
Uzbekistan, Bahrain, and North Korea.
Al-Nashama will kick off their campaign against Uzbekistan on Friday,
January 8, at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, before
facing Bahrain on Wednesday, January 13, at the same venue. They will
complete the group stage against North Korea on Sunday, January 17,
at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Stadium in Riyadh.
