Riyadh, Sept. 17 (UNA)-(Petra) — The Union of OIC News Agencies
(UNA) and the International Center for AI Research and Ethics
(ICAIRE) signed a memorandum of understanding in Riyadh on Wednesday,
on the sidelines of the fourth UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of
Artificial Intelligence.
The memorandum, signed by UNA Director General Muhammed Al-Yami and
ICAIRE Director General Majed Al-Shahri, aims to support the shared
objectives of the two sides, promote freedom of expression and media
development, and foster a culture of peace and tolerance.
It also seeks to counter hate speech and extremism, support knowledge
exchange and media capacity building in the digital age, coordinate
training programs for media professionals, promote ethical
technological transformation, and develop partnerships to achieve
sustainable impact.
