Singapore, September 23 (QNA) – Gold prices held steady Wednesday as investors assessed the likelihood of major central banks keeping interest rates high for longer in their efforts to curb persistent inflation.
Spot gold remained unchanged at $4,356.92 per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery rose 0.4 percent to $4,394.90.
Among other precious metals, spot silver rose 0.4 percent to $67.37 per ounce, platinum climbed 0.3 percent to $1,837.80, and palladium increased 0.3 percent to $1,311.40. (QNA)
