Saudi Arabia’s Voluntary Carbon Market Fuels the Shift to a Low-Carbon
Doha, October 09 (QNA) – Qatar claimed two medals at the conclusion of the third round of the 2026 West Asia Beach Volleyball Tour in Doha, with the men’s Qatar 1 team winning silver and the women’s Qatar 1 team securing bronze.
Mousa Al Khair and Mohammed Ehab reached the men’s final after defeating Lebanon 1 in straight sets, but lost 0-–2 to Bahrain 1 (22–24, 19–21) to finish runners-up.
In the women’s competition, Haya Abu Issa and Laila Mohammed earned bronze with a 2–1 victory over Bahrain (13–21, 21–19, 15–12) in the third-place match. The result marked the first women’s medal in the team’s history.
The tournament featured 15 teams from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Lebanon, highlighting the growing regional presence of beach volleyball. (QNA)
