London, October 10 (QNA) – British Prime Minister Andy Burnham discussed the importance of increasing pressure on Russia in a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday.
The two leaders agreed to meet in person in the coming days.
A spokesman for the British prime minister’s office said Burnham reaffirmed during the call that the United Kingdom would continue to tighten sanctions on Russia and take further measures to restrict the capabilities of the Russian war machine.
The remarks followed a Russian attack on the southern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia earlier Saturday that killed 20 people, including three children. (QNA)
