Justice Ministry Undersecretary: Digital Platforms Strengthen Legal Framework, Boost Investment

Doha, October 11 (QNA) – HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice Saeed bin Abdullah Al Suwaidi said the launch of the Ministry’s new digital legal platforms marks a new phase in strengthening the State’s legal framework, improving legal services and enhancing the investment climate. The initiative aligns with the Third National Development Plan and supports the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.

Speaking on the sidelines of the launch ceremony for the new Official Gazette website and Qatari legal portal Al Meezan, Al Suwaidi described the launch as a strategic step toward establishing an integrated national system for legal knowledge and keeping pace with Qatar’s digital transformation, in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.

He explained that the Ministry’s vision for the project, implemented under its 2025–2030 strategic plan, extends beyond treating the two platforms as electronic publishing tools. Instead, they form a reliable and user-friendly digital legal ecosystem that provides access to legislation, judicial rulings, legal opinions and agreements within an integrated knowledge framework.

Al Suwaidi said the new Official Gazette website strengthens the authority of legislative texts and makes them easier to access, while Al Meezan offers comprehensive legal information, enabling researchers, legal practitioners and the public to move seamlessly from legal texts to their context and practical applications.

He added that the Ministry’s new digital legal system would improve the efficiency of the legislative and regulatory environment and enhance legal certainty, transparency and ease of doing business, thereby boosting investor confidence and making Qatar more attractive to high-quality investments.

Al Suwaidi expressed hope that the digital system would make legal knowledge an integral part of the State’s broader digital ecosystem, establish a national model for institutional integration among legal and judicial bodies, and deliver more accessible, transparent and efficient services. (QNA)
