Cairo, October 11 (QNA) – The Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), celebrating its 50th anniversary, revealed the details of its 47th edition, held from November 11 to 20.
The 47th CIFF will honor the history of cinema and will restore classic films as part of its commitment to preserving history and introducing classics to viewers.
The Festival is supporting initiatives aimed at developing filmmaking, including an initiative focused on adapting books into films.
The CIFF was first launched in 1976 and is considered one of the most prestigious film festivals in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). It is the only Arab and African festival with an “A” classification in the Accredited Festivals list of the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF). (QNA)
