Madrid, July 10 (QNA) – 12 people have died in a wildfire in Almeria in southern Spain, local authorities announced.
Some 150 firefighters continue their efforts to control and extinguish the blaze, they added.
Minister of the Presidency, Health, and Emergency Antonio Sanz described the fire as the most destructive so far, adding that the situation represents an unprecedented tragedy.
Earlier reports indicated six fatalities from the wildfire before the toll rose to 12. (QNA)
