5.4-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Fiji Islands

Suva, June 07 (QNA) – An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck Sunday south of the Fiji Islands in the South Pacific Ocean.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 506.6 km, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.
Fiji lies in the Pacific Ring of Fire, a region prone to frequent and sometimes powerful earthquakes. (QNA)
