Amman, Feb. 10 (Petra) – Minister of Agriculture Khaled Hneifat met Monday with a Philippine delegation comprising representatives from the agricultural and governmental sectors to explore ways to enhance agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
The discussions focused on facilitating trade for both the public and private sectors to support the smooth flow of agricultural goods and strengthen food product trade exchanges.
Minister Hneifat highlighted the high quality of Jordanian agricultural products, particularly dates and olive oil, which have gained global recognition and value. He encouraged expanding exports of these products to the Philippine market.
The Philippine delegation expressed its interest in expanding agricultural ties and facilitating trade to meet domestic market needs with Jordanian agricultural products.
A technical study is currently underway to draft a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at further strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
