Cairo, July 07 (QNA) – The Arab League described the two bombings that struck central Damascus, coinciding with French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to the Syrian capital, as a cowardly attack aimed at undermining Syria’s efforts to strengthen security and stability, attract the international community and encourage greater engagement in supporting economic recovery and reconstruction.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Arab League expressed its solidarity with Syria in its fight against terrorism, its efforts to consolidate the foundations of security and stability, and its commitment to preserving its territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The League also reaffirmed its support for Syria and cooperation with the international community in confronting terrorist threats and cutting off their sources, allowing the Syrian people and the peoples of the region to live in security, peace and stability. (QNA)
