Amman, Sept. 8 (Petra) – Arab nations denounced on Tuesday the Houthi
attacks targeting civilian and economic infrastructure across Saudi
Arabia and commercial shipping in the Red Sea.

In separate statements, regional leaders described the strikes as a
“dangerous escalation threatening regional stability, global trade,
and energy security,” urging the UN Security Council and
international community to take action to deter further attacks and
hold perpetrators accountable.

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry called the strikes an “aggressive violation”
of international law and Saudi sovereignty. Bahrain’s Foreign
Ministry similarly warned that threats to maritime navigation near
the Bab al-Mandab Strait violate the UN Charter and international
humanitarian law.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned attacks targeting several
Saudi cities, including Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jizan, and Najran,
which resulted in civilian injuries, including women and children.

The Muslim World League also condemned the attacks, describing the
actions as violations of human values, international law, and
humanitarian norms.
