Arab Parliament calls on Pan-African Parliament to make Palestinian cause permanent agenda item

Cairo, July 25 (Petra) — The Arab Parliament has called for the
Question of Palestine to be added as a permanent item on the agenda
of the Pan-African Parliament’s Committee on Cooperation,
International Relations and Conflict Resolution to ensure continuous
monitoring of developments and strengthen Arab-African parliamentary
coordination.

The request was made during talks between delegations from the Arab
Parliament and the Pan-African Parliament held at the latter’s
headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa.

During the meeting, the Arab Parliament presented its ongoing legal
initiatives in support of the Palestinian people, highlighting a
complaint submitted to the International Criminal Court regarding
violations and crimes committed against Palestinians.

The Arab Parliament expressed hope that the Pan-African Parliament
would endorse and join these legal efforts to bolster international
accountability and support justice for the Palestinian people.
