Amman, Feb. 12 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, on Wednesday discussed with Commander of the French Forces in the Indian Ocean, Rear Admiral Hugues Laine, aspects of joint cooperation and coordination to serve interests of the two friendly countries’ armed forces.
During the meeting held at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army, the two sides also went over the latest developments on the regional and international arenas.
In presence of a number of senior JAF officers and French Defense Attaché in Amman, Huneiti stressed the importance of unifying international efforts to achieve global security and peace and consolidate the “strategic” Jordanian-French partnership.
Meanwhile, the French official valued the Jordanian role, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, in maintaining the region’s security and stability.
