Army Chief: Royal Air Force, a pillar of national defense

Amman, Sept 9 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj.
Gen. Majdi Al Harasis visited the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF)
headquarters on Wednesday, where he was welcomed by its Commander.

During a meeting, attended by senior Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army
(JAF) officers, the army chief was briefed by the Air Force Commander
on key operational and training matters, the readiness levels of
units, and efforts to carry out national tasks in the midst of
regional circumstances and developments.

The briefing included an overview of plans and programs to enhance
operational and technical capabilities and boost personnel
proficiency in line with the modernization and development process
within the JAF to ensure the ability to handle various requirements
with efficiency and professionalism.

Separately, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff visited the
Muwaffaq Salti Air Base for a briefing on the operational missions
carried out by the base, its role in protecting the country’s
airspace, and readiness to execute assigned duties.

RJAF is a key pillar of the national defense system, Al Harasis
stressed, calling for maintaining the highest levels of readiness,
pursuing training and modernization efforts, and investing in human,
technical, and technological resources.

The army chief commended the competence and professionalism of the
Royal Air Force, and hailed its personnel for executing various tasks
and duties in protecting the country and the safeguarding its
security and stability.
