Amman, July 25 (Petra)– On Friday, the Southern Military Zone, working with military security agencies, prevented a drone from trying to infiltrate its western front within its area of responsibility.
Border guard units identified the drone and followed its trajectory, according to a military source in the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF). The plane was intercepted and shot down inside Jordanian territory after the rules of engagement were followed. After that, the aircraft was turned over to the appropriate authorities so they could take the appropriate measures.
The source underlined that the JAF is still performing its duties with the highest efficiency and alertness, determined to stop any attempts to jeopardize the security and stability of the country.
