London, July 09 (QNA) – Reigning English Premier League champions Arsenal FC have officially signed French goalkeeper Illan Meslier following the expiration of his contract with Leeds United F.C.
In an official statement, Arsenal said Meslier has signed a three-season contract and will serve as the club’s third-choice goalkeeper behind Spaniards David Raya and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The 26-year-old spent seven seasons with Leeds United. Last season, he dropped from being the club’s first-choice goalkeeper to third choice behind Brazilians Lucas Perri and Carl Darrow.
Arsenal will begin the defense of their English league title in the 2026-27 season against newly promoted Coventry City FC on Aug. 21 in the opening round of the competition. (QNA)
