Amman, March 17 (Petra) — Total trading volume on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) reached JD12.3 million on Tuesday, as 3.6 million shares were traded through 2,583 transactions.
The ASE general share price index rose 0.59 percent to close at 3,671 points, compared with the previous session.
Showing broadly positive sectoral performance, the services index posted the strongest gain at 1.28 percent, followed by the industrial index, up 0.57 percent, while the financial index advanced 0.25 percent.
Of the 85 companies whose shares were traded, 33 recorded gains, while 24 posted declines compared with their previous closing prices.
