Madrid, July 11 (QNA) – Spanish club Atletico Madrid announced on Saturday the signing of Danish midfielder Morten Hjulmand from Sporting CP in Lisbon on a contract that runs until June 30, 2031.
In a statement, the club confirmed that an agreement had been reached with Sporting CP for the transfer, with Hjulmand joining Atletico’s first-team squad.
The 27-year-old joined Sporting CP in 2023 and made 141 appearances in all competitions. During his time in Portugal, he played a key role in helping Sporting win the Primeira Liga titles in the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 seasons, as well as the Portuguese Cup in the 2024-2025 campaign. (QNA)
