Amman, Oct. 12 (Petra) – Authorities busted six illegal water
connections in south Amman on Monday during a joint crackdown led by
the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, Miyahuna, the Ministry of
Interior, and the Public Security Directorate (PSD).
Five of the violations were uncovered in the Umm Al-Walid area, where
illegal lines were diverting public water to supply private farms and
fill commercial water tankers, according to officials.
Enforcement teams severed the unauthorized connections, restored
normal operating conditions, and filed official violation reports.
In East Dheibeh, officials shut down a sixth illegal connection
diverting water to a private farm and home, with legal action now
underway against the offenders.
