Amman, Feb. 6 (Petra) — The Public Security Directorate (PSD) has urged citizens to exercise caution as the country braces for heavy rainfall and strong winds associated with an incoming weather system. Authorities warned that the expected conditions could lead to flash floods, particularly in low-lying areas and flood-prone regions.
In a statement, the directorate emphasized the importance of avoiding valleys and flood paths and refraining from crossing water accumulations on foot or by vehicle. Citizens were also advised to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety and that of others.
The PSD affirmed its full preparedness to handle emergencies and called on the public to stay updated on weather forecasts and adhere to safety guidelines to mitigate risks.
