Amman, Feb. 3 (Petra) – The Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), in collaboration with the Regional Office of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), conducted a four-day workshop focused on safety risk management on Monday.
The event was designed to align with both national and international civil aviation safety and security standards while fostering knowledge sharing and a comprehensive understanding of current sector developments.
The workshop’s agenda concentrated on the civil aviation safety risk management system and emphasized the importance of identifying and analyzing potential risks. Participants explored integrated methodologies for early risk prediction and mitigation, aiming to enhance the operational framework within the national air transport system.
Haitham Misto, Chairman of CARC, reiterated the commission’s commitment to adopting international best practices and strengthening preventive measures to minimize the occurrence of civil aviation accidents and incidents.
He underscored the significance of cooperation with stakeholders including airlines, airports, maintenance companies, academies, and air navigation service providers as essential partners in safeguarding aviation operations.
Specialists from across the Jordanian civil aviation sector, including managers, inspectors, auditors, and accident investigators, attended the workshop. Their collective insights are expected to contribute to continuous improvements in safety management systems and overall aviation security.
