Amman, Feb. 19 (Petra) — A Public Security Directorate’s spokesperson announced Wednesday that the Cybercrime Unit has identified and arrested an individual who operated multiple fraudulent social media accounts advertising the sale of cameras and earpieces allegedly designed to facilitate cheating during examinations.
According to the spokesperson, the unit’s investigation team successfully tracked down the suspect through social media account analysis. The suspect is currently under investigation and will be referred to judicial authorities.
The Public Security Directorate warned students against falling victim to such fraudulent advertisements and accounts, emphasizing that engaging with these schemes could subject them to legal prosecution and academic penalties.
