Amman, February 18 (Petra) — Minister of Education Azmi Mahafzah met with the British Ambassador to Jordan, Philip Hall, and the Director of the British Council, Alex Lambert, to discuss enhancing and expanding cooperation.

Mahafzah highlighted the “strong” relationship between Jordan and the UK in higher education and the collaborative efforts on international programmes offered in Jordanian schools.

He emphasised the ministry’s close work with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to increase school enrollment for students with disabilities, ensuring that educational services are tailored to their needs.

He noted the various educational programmes implemented in partnership with the British Council, commending the longstanding and fruitful collaboration between the two nations.

He expressed hope for continued support and further development of this partnership.

Ambassador Hall acknowledged the “strong” ties between the UK and Jordan and reiterated the British government’s commitment to supporting the Ministry of Education in its development initiatives and educational programmes.
