Cairo, July 7 (Petra) – Egypt condemned the attack targeting a Saudi
tanker as it transited the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as a
violation of international law and a threat to the security and
safety of international maritime navigation.
In a statement, Egypt reaffirmed its firm rejection of all actions
that threaten regional security and stability or endanger freedom of
navigation in international waterways. It expressed its full
solidarity with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The statement called for an immediate halt to all actions that could
further escalate tensions in the region, emphasising the importance
of preserving regional security and stability and ensuring the safety
and security of international maritime navigation.
