Cairo, September 08 (QNA) – The Egypt-Greece-Cyprus Trilateral Cooperation Mechanism Summit convened in Egypt’s El Alamein on Tuesday, bringing together Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, his Cypriot counterpart, Nikos Christodoulides, and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The summit explored avenues for strengthening cooperation in a range of fields, recent regional and international events, and efforts marshaled to restore peace and stability in the Middle East.
The gathering stressed the importance of halting the escalation amid the fallout from regional tensions, which have had far-reaching consequences for global commerce and energy security.
The leaders also tackled developments in the Palestinian cause. (QNA)
