Amman, July 9 (Petra) — Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources
Saleh Kharabsheh chaired on Thursday a regular meeting with liaison
officers from the energy and mining sectors to review work reports
related to the second executive program of the Economic Modernization
Vision 2026-2029 and the progress achieved in both sectors through
the end of June.
During the meeting, the minister called for continued efforts to meet
the targets of the vision, particularly in expanding the use of clean
energy, improving the efficiency of the electricity system, reducing
energy costs, and strengthening environmental sustainability.
Kharabsheh stressed the importance of adhering to the objectives of
the second executive program of the Economic Modernization Vision
2026-2029 and maintaining ongoing coordination with relevant partners
to ensure that assigned tasks are completed within the approved
timelines.
He said the energy and mining sectors represent key components in
strengthening the national economy and supporting other sectors. He
also highlighted the role of the private sector as a partner in
implementing projects under the vision and contributing to economic
growth and sustainable development.
