Amman, July 19 (Petra) — Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources
Saleh Kharabsheh underlined the ministry’s commitment Sunday to
promoting innovation and creativity among employees by encouraging
the submission of practical ideas and initiatives that enhance
performance and improve the quality of services.

According to a ministry statement, Kharabsheh made the remarks while
patronizing a ceremony honoring the Innovation and Participation
Team, winners of the Innovative Idea Award for its second cycle
(2023-2024).

He stressed the importance of supporting innovative ideas across all
levels of the ministry, noting their role in improving work
mechanisms, optimizing the use of time and resources, and enhancing
operational efficiency.

Kharabsheh said honoring innovators reflects the ministry’s efforts
to establish a culture of excellence and encourage employees to
develop solutions that contribute to streamlining procedures and
improving government services.

Head of the Knowledge Management and Innovation Department at the
ministry Omar Barqawi said the award followed the launch of an
internal training program titled “Innovative Administrator,”
supported by the Jordanian-German Energy Partnership Project.

He explained that the program was developed in line with
methodologies adopted by the King Abdullah II Center for Excellence
and the Global Innovation Management Institute to strengthen
employees’ capabilities in institutional innovation and develop
practical solutions to challenges facing the ministry. Barqawi said
15 employees from various ministry departments participated in the
program.

He added that the “Creative” team, comprising geologists Ali Samadi
and Dima Atiyat, Tahani Zeidan, Ghada Hamed and Hanin Saeed, won the
award for their project “Mineral Exploration Using Remote Sensing.”
The project provides innovative solutions to support exploration
activities and improve the efficiency of investing in national
mineral resources.

Samadi presented an overview of the winning project, including its
implementation phases, estimated cost, proposed timeline, expected
outcomes and contribution to advancing exploration and mining
activities.

The ministry also honored Ibrahim Sharari for his “Ejarti” project,
an electronic system designed to regulate leasing operations in the
energy sector, protect the rights of owners, tenants and partners,
and enhance the real estate investment environment linked to the
sector in Jordan.
