Brussels, June 03 (QNA) – European stock indexes closed lower on Wednesday as investors assessed US proposals to impose new sweeping tariffs on 60 countries.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index fell 0.54 percent to 621.96 points, with most regional sectors declining and major markets in London, Paris, Frankfurt and Milan ending the session in negative territory.
Germany’s DAX index dropped 1.24 percent to 24,811.63.
France’s CAC 40 index slipped 0.40 percent to 10,332.30.
Britain’s FTSE 100 index declined 0.71 percent to 8,150.42. (QNA)
