Finance Ministry Organizes Workshop
on Insurance of Government Assets, Management of Movable Assets
Muscat, 30 September 2026 (ONA) — Acting
in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Finance today organized
a workshop titled “Insurance of Government Assets and Management of Movable
Assets”. The workshop aimed to outline the regulations and procedures governing
the insurance of government assets and related disposal.
The workshop covered two main
topics: The first focused on insurance policies safeguarding government assets
against risks, as well as procedures for follow up of insurance claims. The
second topic addressed the regulations and procedures governing the disposal/management
of government movable assets, including processes for sale and electronic
auctions.
The workshop aimed to raise public awareness
about the management of government assets and enhance compliance with approved
regulations and procedures in a manner that contributes to the preservation of
public funds.
